Who am I?

I have been an Instructional or, as I like to call myself, a Learning Experience Designer for around 14 years now. During this time, I have crafted instructional and non-instructional solutions for various companies, strategically calculating ROI to secure competitive tenders, and devising incentive programs to motivate adult learners in corporate settings. My work has involved close collaboration with SMEs across diverse fields such as retail, aviation, IVF technologies, and more to design custom-made learning experiences. I have conducted various levels of needs analysis to set and achieve measurable goals, created original learning print resources, and self-paced online onboarding programs for the recruit members of my instructional team. The list can go on and on.

My journey in Instructional Design started back in Ukraine, where I am from, but I was forced and inspired to begin from scratch when my family moved to the US. It was before the beginning of the war. I accepted the challenge and tried to make the most of it. I went back to college in 2021 for an MA in Instructional Technology and, most importantly, to prove that I can transfer my earlier experience from overseas just as I did with my luggage.

Over the last 2,5 years, I have been studying and working as a graduate assistant at Stockton, performing various ID responsibilities to back up my earlier experience. I used Psychology to analyze learners’ needs and design experiences that tap into their emotions and build on their potential with consideration of human cognition and physiology. Even though my Portfolio has an abundance of tutorials, job aids, and workshops that I designed, I strived to view every task as a problem that could be solved without unjustified instruction. I can give specific examples. I have conducted numerous synchronous Zoom sessions to prove my ability to engage audiences in any format. Furthermore, I have never stopped learning myself. Every completed project went through a rigorous evaluation process where I pinpointed areas for professional growth and further improvement.
